Henna Supplier: A love letter to Henna Squared
The henna cone is the most important tool for every henna artist and it’s important to have a reliable supplier. For me it’s Henna Squared, the lovely face behind it being Roushan Ahmed. Roushan baji makes henna cones so excellent that when I use different one, I feel uncomfortable. As if no other henna cone will allow me to drape, trace, and glide henna onto skin as smoothly. When I use different henna cone and see the design’s results, I always think: “It looks okay but not great because it’s not Roushan baji’s cone that I used.” I have done my best work in henna with Henna Squared cones, for that I am very appreciative.
I also REALLY appreciate and admire the unfailing dark, beautiful stains from Roushan baji’s cones. I love the timeline of my use of the cone: apply at around 7pm, keep it on while sleeping until fajr prayer (3-5am), go back to sleep, wake up and it’s a light brown. At that point the stain is still developing and within the next 2 days, the henna will be a dark brown/maroon but almost blackish! Even with leaving the paste on for 3 hours, the stain is consistently good and dependable. This is the ideal process/result and pigment for anyone who wants a dark stain, especially henna artists who obsess over this, wanting to take good pictures and give their client a good henna experience.

I know it is not an easy job to make henna, it’s a long and tedious process that can also make messy stains. And thank you for being a mentor and inspiration for me to look up to as a henna artist.
